A local fisherman who is slightly bigger than Lan Xiruo. He initially blames Uncle Jiang He for the disaster, saying it is all his fault and that they would be home by now if not for his insistence on retrieving the net. Later he feels guilty and embarrassed, apologizes to Uncle Jiang He, and offers to cut the net instead of Lan Xiruo. He takes over from Lan Xiruo while Uncle Jiang He shines the light for him.
