Also known as Third Bi or Old Third Bi, the husband of Cai Juhua. He is described as honest but unable to control his shrewish wife. Villagers pity him for being saddled with such a wife, and he is said to curry favor with the brigade leader, sometimes at the expense of others. He follows after his wife trying to smooth things over after fights.
