Bench is an eight-year-old boy, son of Gao Xuelian. He is chubby with thick wrists and small eyes. He sneaks into Yu Li's room to rummage through her belongings, claiming she will marry and leave, so her things will be his. He calls Yu Li and Shiliu 'worthless girls.'
