An elderly man who lives in a village with his wife Cui Shi. He has three sons and five grandsons. He and his wife went mountain gathering herbs before dawn when they encountered a white tiger that delivered a baby girl to them. Initially strict and distant with his grandsons, he becomes extremely tender and affectionate toward the little girl, even declaring that even his daughter's farts smell sweet. He is overjoyed to have a granddaughter after only having boys in the family.
