Bai Lian'er
A young lady, daughter of the Duke's household, known as the white lotus supporting female character. She feigned falling into the water to compromise Ning Lan's virtue and force marriage as a concubine. She was infatuated with Lan Gege (Ning Lan) and resented the Lin woman for interfering. In the original story, she was sent to marry the old emperor, became twisted, and was eventually killed by the male lead with poisoned wine. She gave Xi Hongrui seven pieces of silver and a hairpin as thanks. She genuinely inhaled some water and was coughing for real afterward.
