Wang San's mother, an elderly woman with severely poor eyesight, nearly blind. She is kind but soft-hearted and has spoiled Wang San too much. She relies on her brother and sister-in-law for support. She worries about Wang Man starving and tries to help by digging wild vegetables despite her disability.
