A member of the Armed Detective Agency who accompanied Dazai on the case. He is energetic and trustworthy. He suggested checking police records and putting out missing persons notices, both of which Dazai rejected. He was long accustomed to Dazai's habit of sneaking off and did not report him to Kunikida when he left early. He expressed curiosity about Dazai's unusual interest in the case.
