The Marquis of Dingyuan and Yunzhi's husband. He left the capital on their wedding day after receiving news about Zhen'er. He married Yunzhi partly because his beloved woman had disappeared and partly for her family's wealth. He planned to demote Yunzhi to a concubine and marry Wang Yuzhen instead. He is portrayed as manipulative and heartless, believing Yunzhi would be easy to control due to her meek reputation.
