He bribed backstage staff to get his name on the screen during the opening ceremony to pick Qi Shu as his opponent, wanting to humiliate him in front of the entire Empire. He lost his dominant right arm, had half his teeth shattered, a dislocated jaw, and a fractured leg during the match. He could not use spiritual power during the match as it meant expulsion.
