An honest, hardworking man who sold ding-ding candy under the footbridge on Temple Street. He lived with his wife and daughter in poverty. He once came into money and bought his wife a gold necklace and his daughter new dresses. He was arrested on suspicion of murder, after which his wife died in a car accident and his daughter disappeared.
