The abbot of Zhenguo Temple, a Buddhist monk with magical powers. He was sent by the Emperor to examine General Su Xiao. He chanted Buddhist mantras and could channel magical power. He restored Su Xiao's Peace Talisman but refused to help Si Yao, crushing her talisman instead, because Si Yao's karma was her own to bear. He had originally given the talismans to Su Xiao and Si Yao, mistakenly believing Si Yao was his wife.
