Good read right from the get go
I don't know why author named this book S Dark onsession .. there is nothing dark here .. beautifully love story .. author did a great job .. give It a try .. u will not regret
The dialogue in this excerpt is genuinely excellent, and I want to highlight how each character has a completely distinct voice. Xia Nanxing's dialogue when drunk is chaotic and adorable: 'Wow~~ I… I think it's love at first sight?' and 'Qin… He… Ming! Oh my god, it matches my name so well. We're practically made for each other!' The elongated vowels, the dramatic pauses, the sheer absurdity—it's perfectly written. And then sober Xia Nanxing is completely different: 'Uh… hey, Uncle Qin, why are you—wait, no, why am I here?' The panic is palpable. Qin Heming's lines are always short, cold, and loaded with subtext. 'Xia Nanxing, stand properly.' 'What mistake do you think you could've made?' 'Get dressed and leave as soon as you can.' He says so little but communicates everything. The author trusts the reader to read between the lines. Ye Shuya's voice is sharp and loyal: 'Young Master Lu, you already have a girlfriend. Stop bothering Xingxing from now on.' And later, the threat to the clubhouse manager—'your clubhouse can forget about staying open!'—shows her willingness to go to war for her friend. Lu Huaijin's dialogue is pure entitlement: 'The relationship between her and me isn't something you can interfere with.' 'Such low-class trash.' He never sounds self-aware, which makes him perfectly hateable. The narrative voice itself is also worth praising—it's snarky, observant, and occasionally breaks the fourth wall with comments like 'What a forced made for each other. With skills like these, no wonder she couldn't win him over in five years of chasing.' That's the author winking at the reader, and it's delicious.
