Its actually my favourite novel:)
-Its not for everyone, it has a very slow start (generic first thousand chapters or so),
and author loves to excessively detail everything.
-The female lead is a literal girlboss and my favourite female character, not bidimensionals in the least, the romance is realistic, author has definitely talked to a woman at least once.
-Actually here everyone Is excessively real, you will find yourself being entranced by every villain and the battles are often also battles of ideals other than fist.
-The scale is multidimendional and the setting futuristic with mechas starships ecc.
(I am not a fan of this at all but here its blended very well)
-The plot is godly and It didnt feel dragged in the least despite all the chapters.
-This novel has a strong political undertone, but i couldnt care less, MC fights for the welfare of ordinary people, he's more of a spy and a smarty guy than a fighter, king of ventilation ports crawling.
I don't understand why they call her ugly? What's wrong with dark make up and tattoo's? Green hair isn't even a big deal either. I've seen far worst than that. If ever, I find it quite cool. Is it just the difference in countries?
I just finished My Divine Diary so this is going to be weird.
I suppose I should start by saying I didn't intend to write this review initially. If you're seeking the "harem" or "R-15" tags, be cautious and consider my experience a cautionary tale. The world-building and characters were commendable, with some corny moments and occasional cringe, but the tone was generally lighthearted. I was genuinely enjoying it, but the ending left me reeling more than "Shield Hero." It felt like a massive letdown. Everything up until the final arc felt like a deceptive facade. The book indulged in blatant wish fulfillment, featuring a self-insert protagonist and spineless characters, and that dissatisfaction with the conclusion surpassed anything I've encountered before.
To give you a glimpse of what happened:
The story, marketed as a harem novel, ended with an absurd mass wedding, portrayed as a joke, where nearly every female character the main character interacted with, including those he had no romantic interest in, were present. There wasn't a single scene showing the protagonist acknowledging or reciprocating any of the female leads' feelings. Even the supposed "main female lead" didn't receive a proper spotlight. All the character development over 600+ chapters seemed irrelevant in that climactic moment. And then, there was a throwaway reference to the original story that had lost its relevance altogether.
That's the disappointing truth of it all.
Despite the translation not being fully polished, I thoroughly enjoyed this narrative. The translation itself deserves a solid 5 stars, and the story's content is equally impressive, rated 5 stars as well. The steamy scenes are decent, earning them a 4-star rating. I must commend the female lead, who shines throughout the story, receiving a perfect 5-star rating from me. However, there's a minor drawback - the side couple relationships are introduced briefly, with only a sentence or two to explain their connection to the protagonist. It leaves room for more depth, which is a bit disappointing.
I devoured the content in one sitting. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the author employs forceful language to criticize ML, and they exhibit a hint of superstition. However, if one overlooks those aspects, it still provides an engaging read.
A prime example of cringe. I initially picked up this novel due to negative reviews, thinking maybe they were overblown. Boy, was I wrong. Disappointed beyond belief, I abandoned it halfway through – the constant mediocrity became unbearable. Initially, I found the main character (MC) likable despite her Mary Sue traits, praising her as a caring mother and her connection with her adopted child. However, as the story unfolded, I grew increasingly frustrated and even felt the urge to physically confront the MC and other characters, including the child. Although I don't condone violence, this story brought out a side of me that's outraged by the excessive intrusion of internet trolls who seem to have too much time and lack empathy. As a dedicated One Direction fan, I've always supported them without judgment, respecting their personal lives even though they're not together now. Yet, in these Chinese web novels, fans are portrayed without boundaries, expected to blindly adore without considering privacy or common sense. It's disheartening as a fan, and I truly wish to find a story where fans are depicted in a more positive light.
This was good but would only rate it 6/10Sure the plot is good and the romance aspect is kinda cute but the continuous problems one after another without breaks kinda gets annoying. The happy scenes are so few and the author didn't put on a warning that this is a mature content that involves r*pe.Would suggest to skip this if you're easily triggered by r*pe or abuse scenes/reads.Also some of the sudden flashbacks or memories that has no warning kinda gets confusing sometimes. It kinda lacks romance a little (just felt like it could've been better, though it's cute how the prince pursued her.) and the conspiracies of the dukes and other prince was so stupid that I wanted so badly to skip the chapters just to get to the main point. Well anyways, just my opinion. Read at your own risk.
