awesome novel, please update don't abandon it .it has so much potential to go forward . please consider picking it up again
Hmm? This novel has changed, massively. Whats going on
I mean everything is good, I see no fault, however, the pacing is too fast, if you can just slow down on the events taking place then it will be even better
Okay so I need to talk about the nightclub scene because honestly it is one of the funniest moments in the entire book and I still can't get over it. Xiao Yu gets drunk, sees these alpha dancers doing a runway-style show, and is like "who's your lead dancer, add me on WeChat" — he's literally trying to recruit male models for his cat café. And Leon, who is sitting there as a fat orange cat, loses his absolute mind and SMASHES the phone. Not a paw swipe, not a hiss, a full-on sandbag fist that shatters the screen. The lead dancer just smiles and says "no problem" while showing his QR code again and Leon has to punch that one too. This is peak comedy gold. But what I love about this plot point is how it reveals Leon's jealousy without him even being in human form. He's a CAT at this point, and he's still physically destroying property because some alpha is looking at his omega. The author doesn't even need dialogue for Leon here — the smashed phone IS the dialogue. It's such a clean cause-and-effect chain: Xiao Yu gets drunk → Xiao Yu gets flirty with strangers → Leon loses it → Leon goes full possessive beast mode later when he transforms into a tiger. The plot threads are all tied together so neatly. And then there's the subplot with Lin Yue gossiping about the Russian boxing champion Alexei Leon disappearing from the Federation, and Xiao Yu seeing the photo and being like "looks so arrogant, probably shacking up with some omega boyfriend." Meanwhile the actual Leon is sitting RIGHT THERE as a cat. The dramatic irony is so thick you could spread it on toast. I literally screamed when I read that part.
I keep coming back to the archery scene as the central metaphor of this entire chapter, maybe this entire arc. Gu Ningxi was taught to shoot by Prince Zhao himself. She knows the mechanics—she's triple-checked her aim, she's found her stance, she's done everything RIGHT. And yet the arrow still flies wide. Not because she's incompetent, but because the conditions have changed. The wind is different. The bow is different. She's different. This is literally what her secret identity is: she knows how to perform, she's studied the role, she's prepared—but the moment she's actually in front of the audience, something invisible pushes her off course. The spring breeze isn't just weather; it's the unpredictable force of history, of memory, of a past that refuses to stay buried. And then there's the vase. The three-color appliqué double-fish vase in Prince Zhao's study. Two fish. One vessel. Beautiful but hidden in plain sight. Gu Ningxi can't stop looking at it because it's the same story—something valuable, something meaningful, placed exactly where it should be, and yet completely misunderstood by everyone who sees it. The mother's bracelets work the same way. Gold exchanged for jade. A public prize transformed into private meaning. The value isn't in the object; it's in what the object REPRESENTS—love, protection, a daughter's attempt to level an uneven playing field. "Gu Ningxi was eighty to ninety percent certain that he still hadn't discovered her identity." Eighty to ninety percent. Not ninety-five. Not ninety-nine. That ten to twenty percent uncertainty is the entire novel compressed into a single number. She's living in the margin of error.
loved this book like no tomorrow
It's the characters for me. I have to love the characters to like a book & I love the story of Morgana & Kian. I don't typically leave a review only 29 chapters in beause a lot of the times the excitement of a story will die out for me, but I loved Alejandro and Kiara and I hope these two grow on me
i love the story...it is very well written. there are just too many comments about grammar mistakes, while i'm trying to enjoy the story. nonetheless, it's a great story, and i can't put it down!
So far I’m liking it
What is this. !!!!!!
