Decent Start
found this by accident
seems interesting
but updates are a little slow since last one is 8 days ago ? so I'm oblivious wether author is gouing to drop more updates or not
This new novel by HideousGrain is another awesome entry for his multiverse.
It begins with the start of an apocalypse called [Primordial Ascension]. Follow the protagonist Dilan as he gets stronger and unveils the mysteries of its arrival.
The Story seems very interesting. The World Building is very detailed and thought out, which is a normal occurrence in HideousGrain’s novels. I first thought that the MC will just powerlevel in the wilderness, but the novel took an interesting turn when he reached the City. Many characters were introduced and the important characters are fleshed out and have different dynamics between their relations to another. Furthermore I like the mysterious air around the MC. Even now about 140 chapters in, we still don’t know much about the protagonist and his past, but instead only got a glimpse of his relations to old family and friends and we already know that they are not your normal kind of people and that they will have some kind of importance later. And I‘m exited for that!
This story has big potential and as HideousGrain is writing this I‘m sure that he will fully exploit it!
YayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaY
From the few chapters, there are I can say this novel has a solid premise which has made the interactions between the mc and others very interesting. The only thing I have a gripe about is that his views are different from those around him with no explanation. This doesn't matter too much and it could be explored later. I'm excited to see where this goes.
Currently at chapter 27. This is a classic cliche Chinese novel, but it's still better than most of the other ones, you feel me? It's a good read if you want to read something if there is nothing other, you feel me?
The translation is quite decent, compared to other Chinese ones, you feel me?
Updates: Idk, just started reading it recently.
Characters and World: Nothing, technically nothing...
(My native language is not English, and I'm not writing reviews often, so I know, I'm sloppy.)
NTR enough said ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
The book started good and everything but then it just turned into trash idk if they switched writers or something but it got really stupid couldn’t read it no more I wouldn’t recommend anyone to read this
As of writing this review, I’ve only read up to Chapter 16. The author’s writing style could use improvements, especially when it comes to tenses, grammar and phrasing. From the chapters I’ve read so far, I keep getting the feel that there is a lack of direction for the plot and details with respect to world/setting. Sometimes it seems to me the MC was just running around places and doing things, being silly, asking questions that aren’t getting solid answers and evaded by other characters. This all makes it hard to grasp what’s going on with the plot/character development. Mystery is good for a story but when reading this, I felt there was too much strange mystery happening and not enough answers as a reader. Or perhaps it’s the way the MC is narrating the story that doesn’t really resonate with me. In fact, I kind of find the MC annoying with his dealings. I have to admit that this isn’t really my cup of tea. However, if you are into magical realism, creatures of the night with hints of romance in the background then this story may be for you.
I love what you did with the translations and correct grammar but you removed some chapters from the book and that's kind of unfair, now I have to go back to rereading the entire thing for missed chapters.
Ok so for translation quality and update stability they both get a high score as Cktalon is a beast in those areas, next story development, this story started nice and got drowned into its own fillers people don't realize it when they read bulks of chapters but when you read slowly you realize the author is just trying to milk it and add a lot of unnecessary things, pointless interactions and fodders.
Character Design : as in alot of other CN's the characters are bland and lack realism and life overall it seem they are just puppets that present us the show.
World Background : Meh, author tried a replica of Perfect World at the start but he lack the imagination of Chen Dong and his eloquence in describing his world, it end up looking like a game path where mc has to go from area A to area B in full boost without caring about neither of those areas in depth.
