Well, I can't say whether this novel is good or not because I couldn't get past the first chapter. The translation isn't unreadable, but it definitely needs improvement and a dedicated editor. I found myself rereading sentences multiple times, confused.
Good luck to anyone who decides to continue reading.
I thoroughly enjoyed the novel. Although it lacked a complex plot, it was far from dull. The backstory was emotionally heavy, particularly the tragic tales of the characters. Our main character, although often portrayed as a villain, showed a softer side by adopting six orphans, including one from his own lineage, and genuinely caring for them. He had a tsundere personality.
The male lead, known for his revered purity, surprisingly displayed a colder demeanor than our anti-hero. The children affectionately refer to him as "mama," even though they acknowledge his strictness compared to their "villain" father.
What I found captivating was the developing relationship between the couple. Their paths were intricately entwined from the start, making them a unique reverse love story. The chapters were open to interpretation.
The children in the story had their own individual backgrounds, which contained significant spoilers, so I'll be brief:
1. The biological child, once an artifact, had lost his sect brothers.
2. A teenage orphan boy experienced the massacre of his sect siblings.
3. A teenage girl was the reincarnation of the MC's first daughter.
4. A toddler boy transformed from human to artifact and back.
5. A girl survived her sect's slaughter.
6. Another toddler boy was a dragon, initially their pet, eventually transforming into a human child, mistaking the ML for a black dragon and believing he fathered him.
Overall, the novel offered a mix of emotions and unexpected twists, particularly in the relationships and dynamics between the characters.
Nah, he still working his *ss up for the "Mc" of the story which you'll know once you read
I'm about to cry
Excuse you
Wdym world online
TWO is a great *ss novel, don't compare that to this
I have read till chapter-520, it was interesting at the start but after that it starts getting worse and worse ,not recommended.
While all fantasy and type novels are good to read
Good relaxing novels are very rare hope it will be one
Just putting it here, even though its been a while, but at no point does the author confuse the level system of the novel. When upgrading, a 1 star gold rank would become a 2 star gold rank. ‘Gold’ is the quality, not the potential. It never decreases, only increases. A 1 star gold that excels at combat would beat a two star silver who isn’t so great a combat, or is directly countered. It all makes perfect sense. Even when getting later to the threshold of mid-tier and high-tier (lvl3-4 and 6-7) the boost is significantly more. Its not difficult to understand and the explanation is quite easy to accept as well.
I thought the first guy is the main lead due to the title ?.. its kind of misleading till I thought I hv second male lead syndrome
Very nice, light and short read, strong FL, adorable son (eventhough too mature for 2.4 y.o child in my opinion), some ridiculous moment..but over all very enjoyable read!!
Ps: The story more or less gave a vibe 'pick a son, get free husband' (its a lenghty one)
It's surprising how infrequent the updates are for this novel, indicating limited reader support. This is likely due to its undervaluation, even with the machine translation. However, I hope one day people will recognize it as a true masterpiece. As other reviewers mentioned, the main character's maturity stems from his age upon transmigration and extensive experience in his previous life.
The protagonist's character is solid, allowing him to exhibit playfulness, arrogance, or even a childlike side when necessary, but his core remains mature at heart. There's a minor drawback to mention: the male lead's presence could be stronger. Nevertheless, this is understandable since the story primarily revolves around revenge rather than romance.
If you're a fan of intense revenge plots and confrontational scenes, I highly recommend this novel.
The narrative is captivating, with engaging storytelling that keeps you hooked. The main character possesses a sharp wit and a no-nonsense attitude, bordering on edgy but with a firm and fair demeanor that makes her refreshing as a female lead. She defies societal norms, following her instincts and aligning them with her family's needs, regardless of others' opinions.
What sets this story apart is the protagonist's journey to overcome adversity. Under pressure from scheming uncles who took advantage of her family's vulnerability after her father's untimely death, the male lead rapidly transforms into a formidable, ruthless figure, using his position as a royal enforcer to protect his loved ones. This necessitates a strict separation from public life to avoid suspicion from the royal family.
The humor lies in the portrayal of the villains, who often seem to trip over their own missteps, inadvertently causing their downfall rather than the protagonist's skill. A unique aspect of the story is the villain's consistently unlucky fate, which not only affects others but also leads to self-inflicted harm. Despite feeling同情 towards her, her unpleasant personality prevents genuine empathy.
The supporting characters, particularly the mother and grandmother, break from typical stereotypes. The mother's extreme annoyance and irrationality offer a fresh dynamic, while the grandmother is neither purely benevolent nor domineering, adding complexity to the family dynamics. The one exception is the redeemed sister, whose transformation feels somewhat forced and out of character.
Overall, the story offers a compelling mix of drama, intrigue, and relatable characters, making it an enjoyable read.
I'm having trouble grasping the original background or rationale for the transmigration aspect. Additionally, for some reason, I find the character's toddler behavior unsettling; it feels like a fully mature woman speaking in a third-person narrative, which is quite amusing.
