I need to talk about Zhao Xuanyin because THIS character is absolutely delicious. Let me just quote this moment: 'I must be quite important, for the Red Lotus to come and kill me personally.' He's been through the gates of hell—assassin circled right past him, his guards were useless—and his FIRST thought is about his own significance? The man is unhinged and I am HERE for it. But what's fascinating is his dynamic with his cousin Zhao Xuanzhen. They're constantly at each other's throats. Xuanyin mocks him relentlessly: 'The Helian Rong you recommended previously let the main force of the Red Lotus rebels escape. Now you want to go and make a fool of yourself again?' And yet—AND THIS IS THE THING—he's also the one protecting him. 'What if they went to assassinate you instead? Furthermore, I heard the Dowager has been worrying about the heirs of your Ding Prince Residence recently.' He's teasing, he's cruel, he's offering to pick secondary consorts for him like it's nothing—but underneath all that snark, he's actually looking out for his cousin. That's some deeply complicated brotherhood energy right there. Xie Yan is another whole vibe. He's observing everything, saying very little, but his thoughts are razor-sharp. When he sees Su Wantang with damp hair and connects it to the water escape, he's already three steps ahead. 'Perhaps he was being too suspicious.' Too late, my guy. The seed of doubt is planted and it's going to grow. And Su Huajin? Oh, Su Huajin is a villain in her own right. The way she feigns concern for Su Wantang while internally seething? 'Fear and intense regret surged within her. She hated that this cheap hussy even had the heart to seize the opportunity to curry favor.' She's calculating every interaction, even in crisis. That's not a wife—that's a strategist playing the longest game.

I read this in one day, it was that good! I couldn’t put it down! It has lots of kink, lots of sex, betrayal, humor, revenge, & yes, love... It’s a reverse harem with a kick ass female mc! Another great read author! Thanks!

How often are the updates? Seems like it would be an interesting read as long as the updates are consistent. Tired of starting a book only for it to be abandoned!
