Author is so stingy on the status window and information panels on item, titles, and subordinate
what? His end goal couldn't have been more clearer ever since chapter 1. He's basically set on reaching eternity, true immortality, and he will do absolutely anything to achieve it. this goal is the only thing that drives him and is literally the only thing that he has his eyes on. he doesn't care about anything else.
around chapter 150, i find the world building lacking, sometimes the kingdom seems small, other times huge, it has good parts but generally its lacking
The title of this novel is misleading; it should have been titled "Unparalleled Murderer System." It revolves around an emotionless engineer whose life takes a dark turn when his boss's son夺走了他的女朋友。 Initially, he was a passive character, tolerating injustices like relationship theft and mistreatment from friends and family. However, with the acquisition of the system, he becomes a ruthless killer, targeting anyone who steps beyond his limits – including those he disagrees with, such as family, ex-friends, co-workers, law enforcement, criminals, government officials, military personnel, and even individuals from countries outside China.
By the time you reach Chapter 531, where I'm currently at, the protagonist has claimed the lives or injured more than a thousand people. For context, notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper only claimed five victims. Consider that for a moment...
The system empowers the main character to excel in various skills like hacking, dancing, music, calligraphy, driving, sports, and martial arts. He gains an infinite pool of points through witty social media replies and eliminating those who bother him, even slightly.
However, the book's main flaw lies in its blurred lines between friends and foes, and potential lovers versus acceptable targets for violence. Characters labeled as friends offer tangible benefits without expecting anything in return. Love interests are portrayed as chaste, pining for the murderer without demanding affection or intimacy. Anyone who fails to meet these criteria becomes a target for his wrath.
In summary, this novel falls flat due to its portrayal of violence and questionable character dynamics.
