The plot isn't particularly groundbreaking, but it's not overly extravagant either. I must admit, I find it slightly monotonous. The main character's personality leaves me with conflicting feelings – I'm unsure if I genuinely like or dislike her. Despite being labeled as a comedy, I fail to find the book humorous. Although some of their dialogue might be comical, the author's writing style doesn't translate that humor effectively.
Despite these reservations, I'm giving it four stars because the writing is generally competent. It just doesn't resonate with me on an emotional level.
I've been reading this series for quite some time now, and it certainly poses a challenge for readers due to its lengthy and dramatic narrative that unfolds across multiple years and spans through unifying and pacifying around 11 (or more) warring states. It's understandable that such an ambitious goal wouldn't be achieved within just a few chapters.
This novel has numerous appealing aspects. The protagonist FengMing stands out with his impressive intellect at 19, but his naivety and trust issues hinder his social skills. His idealism and humane perspective on a world lacking empathy are commendable. I appreciate how he integrates modern knowledge and mindset into the story, along with his witty sayings and pop culture references. However, despite being a transmigrated character, the main character isn't invincible; I sometimes wish they had more power.
The dynamics between the couple are entertaining, with a unique and humorous reversal where one openly admits past experiences as a submissive, which was common during that era. Their relationship leans more towards a 3:7 dynamic, with the main character carrying 75% and the other 25%. Surprisingly, what initially seemed like a shallow harem romance evolved into a deeper, more complex narrative as the series progressed.
For those considering giving this a try, I'd advise against forming judgments based on the first few chapters. Some readers might complain about rape or Stockholm syndrome, but they're likely just venting about content they didn't enjoy. If something doesn't resonate with you, it's perfectly fine to stop reading – it's surprising that such a reminder is even needed.

This is a great story, good world building whether it is magic or creating a new territory, they are well-explained and detailed.This might be boring at start because of world-building literally just as the previous comment said—like Release that Witch (RtW). I like the fact that most of the fantasy novels that focuses on Magic—there are alot of similarities on Earth when it comes to minerals or elements and their usages, thus they have great advantages and they will appear like genuises.Here, you can see that there are lots of differences in Earth and this novel's world, the great factor that made hindrances when it comes to knowledge is the world's Magic. Everything is different, there is a huge gap between Earth and a world with Magic. So this is the disadvantage of Gwain (MC) unlike those typical tranismigration's protagonist that it made them all-powerful.The awe factor here is that the author made alot of edits when it comes to the elements, I'm pertaining to the Periodic Table of Elements, their usage became and the product became different. That is very thorough as there are too many changes must made.This is story is quite too detailed and maybe too strenuous on the first half of the novel. There is still no exciting adventure or moments yet.Still, I recommend this novel to you. It's still on-going so I'm lacking of explanation without spoiling anything.

shameless review by the author. I will warn that the first arc is rather slow, taking time to build up Miko's character, the new setting he's thrust into, and other characters, notably the princess and Roan.
From escape and onward, though, it gets crazy ;)
