Meh overall just Meh. Nothing special. Some Chinese propaganda. Some rasicm. Stupid characters. Girls being novel girls show interest in MC for no reason. MC bland. Doesn't act his age. Author has no idea how an economy works, how love works. How the rich behave. Seems to be written by a kid that has experience taken from other novels. Power system is decent ish.Tldr. Has all the flaws of chinese novels but is missing the flavour that normally accompanies the good ones. This is just bland
Ignore the trolls. There is a crappy anime and manga. Some watched that and got the wrong idea. This is an interesting novel that combines cultivation with magic and a modern setting. It does take a little bit to get into it. I think this story has a fun mc with a lot off good fight scenes. Are character has an advantage. Most people start off with one power and then gradually get more as they level up. He starts off with two. I like the waxia elements with the modern setting. Give it a shot.
A review for the free chapters:A light read of your typical MMORPG player regressor novel. The MC is moving too fast, might be due to impatience of wanting to clean up regrets..For a web novel pace, the story is moving too fast that might cause the story to lose steam around 300 chapters in if the pace is kept.Writing quality is what you would expect from a non native English speaker with low novel writing experience. Much to be desired but much better compared to MTL.Characters so far with 40 chapters are still founded on clichès with the possibility of growth..Verdict: A better read than most if you've already read the better alternatives.
reminds me of monster Hunter after chapter 50. but still seems realistic and entertaining.
