Author here. Bias review, but I really love my stories. This story is a fruit of my historical research. I used to live in Bangladesh but came back to my country now. I write here most of my experience there. I've given my all for this story, so please take your time to read.
Okay, I need to talk about Shen Qingtang first because I am literally not okay. This man. The way he handled that whole Yan Li situation? Chef's kiss. Yan Li comes in trying to recruit him, whispering about fake deaths and escaping, and Shen Qingtang just... dismantles him. Gently. Like, he doesn't even raise his voice. He just says 'pull me out of the mire? Or plunge me into a deeper abyss?' and Yan Li is basically defeated in three sentences. But then—THEN—he waits until Yan Li leaves and collapses onto the couch like his bones turned to water. His face goes deathly pale. His hands go limp. And he's thinking about how he was tempted, just for a moment, by the idea of freedom. But he also knows the Lingyin Workshop is just another cage, just another way for people in power to control men through the banner of liberation. He chooses to stay. He chooses HER. And that line he delivers before Yan Li leaves—"The Third Princess and I are deeply devoted to each other"—that's not just defending his wife, that's him claiming his own happiness out loud for the first time. I'm not crying, you're crying. And Ji Zhaohé! The woman who ate an entire plate of shelled sunflower seeds because she was too distracted by her own thoughts to realize she'd been snacking. She meant to shell them for him as a little reward. Instead she just... ate them all. And then had the brilliant idea to pretend Jiang Deming shelled them and she shelled another plate. The commutative property of multiplication, she said. I cannot stop laughing at this woman. She's so genuinely trying and so adorably chaotic, and Shen Qingtang clearly adores her for it. Their dynamic is everything.
Read up to 23, so far so good. it's funny to see William fall for Kate bit doesn't realize it
Needs more editing for grammar, and organization. Interesting plot but it is hard to follow.

I absolutely adore this novel! Initially, I was hesitant due to the title, "Your Distance," thinking it might be overly dramatic. However, it couldn't be further from the truth! The main characters, MC and ML, are captivating, with the ML standing out for his maturity. Although both are成熟, I personally resonate more with the ML. Their perspectives, particularly on university life, resonate deeply with me as a college student.
The growth of their relationship is a delightful journey, and I found myself laughing heartily from the very beginning - the humor is exceptional. If you're looking for a realistic, well-developed, and feel-good story, this book is a true gem. I assure you, it's a read well worth your time.

The WN version has been dropped by the author since it differs from the LN and he didn't want to write two separate stories. Up to LN 5 there are only some small changes, but LN 6 for example is mostly different (I think the elven forest was pushed to LN 8), so these 204 WN chapters is all we get.
