What do I like about this novel:Pairing that I actually like. Which rare for me. I even like the FL and support them wholeheartedly.Bro being bros. This kind of novel usually just focused on the power up and woman. Rarely did they do make MC having male friends more than one or two, behaves not like beast in heat and still being friends with that group of male friends. No harem. Which two plus point from me.What I dislike:The OP system. I usually like OP MC, but the power ups that MC have is another kind of crazy. And not only he became so masterful so fast and mostly by just reading book, he became master to many skills. This is probably what I dislike the most. If the MC are powerful on one or two or three I am probably okay, but this kind of Jack of all trade and master of all is the main reason why I other novel with the same premise of their MC's golden finger.
Review:Very interesting story, chalked full of excitement. I love the characters and development of the story. From beginning to end the story is truly unique. It grows on you as you scroll each chapter, the mc has a very dynamic set of skills and he utilized them to his full potential. The hesitation in the beginning by the mc is expected of anyone going through such a change of station. The leveling system worked well with the mc’s development and was simple enough to understand. A good story through and through… ???????????

Hands down one of my favorite webnovels. Found it a week ago and got sucked into the story and world. I even was reading at work when I wasn't supposed to be haha. It interested me and then just sucked me in and held fast. The historical fiction aspect is brilliant, character depth is impressive and the world...oml so good. I wait everyday for the kotification that a chapter has been added and stop what I'm doing to read it haha

Gave it 1 star as it is the lowest possible ranking. I think even a robot would be better suited to write a story better than this trash. This novel is written by a guy with the imagination of a child and clearly a virgin. I had to reread some the chapters of Shadow Slave just to wash my eyes of this trash. Webnovel should really have a board of reviewers to sort through these kind of abominations. Not everyone can be a writer and neither should they allowed to be one.
The title page alone is inviting telling me it will be an interesting ride with Dax having unusual dreams. It sounds like it will be interesting to take this journey to find out how he becomes the Magi King! I hope others will also enjoy the ride.
