Yoojee is back with another awesome book! It's refreshing to see it starts with the FL and ML's back story in the college rather than making it as flashbacks.Within the first six chapters, we get intriguing questions now. What might lead to Jane breaking up with her college boyfriend? There's a line about her childhood best friend Felicity being an important part in his life so, I guess they might have an affair ?What happened to Jane when she was six? Did she get into a kind of accident? I can't imagine living with constant headaches bothering me day and night. It'll surely affect one's daily life.Vernon is an interesting character ? Sure, he seems rude and blunt but considering how his life has been, we can give him some grace. I wish the author the best! ?
???Good Story line...different from the rebirth revenge novels...hope it will not stop midway...
Is it me or is this book peak?!!! Author you are on your way to creating a legendary book as this book is superb!!!
I really like the story. .. like I'm in love with it so please try updating it everydayThe suspense is killing meLove you
extremely well written and great. that's all I can think of. characters have very distinct personality and dialogues floe naturally and not to mention it's very well written too.
This novel hits hard. It opens with Devon reminiscing about the good old days hammocks, flower beds, and Sophie’s first kiss. It’s this warm, nostalgic setup that contrasts beautifully with the chaos that follows. You nailed the emotional shift, from longing for peace to the brutal reality of what Devon’s facing. The sibling dynamic? Pure gold. Devon and Kisho’s banter felt alive, their bond grounding the chapter with humor before the trial. That ear yank? Chef’s kiss. It’s playful and light, making what happens next hit even harder. Then the trial starts, and it’s a gut punch. Devon’s desperation, his raw anger, and the betrayal he feels from the villagers are so visceral. The way he fakes his way through magic? Genius. You’re rooting for him, even knowing it’s not going to end well. And when the father reveals his true colors? Chilling. His sanctimonious speech, the crowd’s roar, and Devon’s brief triumph with magic all build perfectly to that brutal twist. His death and transformation into the abyss felt like a tidal wave of anger and raw power. Devon’s vow for revenge? Goosebumps.Kisho’s a tsun tsun Brocon, but his relationship with Devon adds so much to the emotional weight. Jideva’s ominous twist at the end seals it. The question of whether Devon will rise above his hatred or become consumed by it is the perfect hook.
I am eagerly waiting for the entire book.well written with intense emotions
