To be honest, the novel isn't exceptional, but it can serve as a decent source of comedy. The author frequently provides reasons to weaken the main character (MC), which inadvertently strengthens others. Surprisingly, the MC received a 'power-up' that was underutilized and didn't enhance his core abilities; it merely boosted his punches and defense, which felt redundant.
The MC's lack of growth and his one-track mind are frustrating, with excessive drama and an overly naive attitude. Despite caring deeply for Stardust, he often acts recklessly, which becomes tiresome. The repetitive nature of certain plot points, like Mango Stick's interventions and subsequent suspicions, loses its novelty after a while.
While the story might be a good time filler, don't expect anything extraordinary. Around chapters 110-120, it started to lose my interest. Stardust's illustrations, however, are visually appealing.
Regarding his telekinetic powers, I understand they may not be unrealistic expectations, but for a主角, one would hope for more substantial feats like lifting heavy objects. Our MC can barely stop a car, which is underwhelming given the potential. It's disappointing that his powers are not utilized effectively, especially considering his teleportation ability has become his fallback.
In conclusion, the novel offers some light-hearted moments, but it falls short in delivering a compelling story or character development. If you're looking for a casual read, it might be suitable, but don't come in expecting a masterpiece.
Updated: I genuinely adore the ML (Main Love Interest) and MC (Main Character). There's an undeniable charm about them that I can't quite pinpoint. I appreciate how well-developed the side characters are and how they interact with them, not just as teammates but also with other game participants. The story itself is quite intriguing.
Although it's still early on, I'm enjoying it overall despite feeling somewhat bewildered at times. Perhaps my confusion stems from not fully grasping the MC's background or understanding the intricacies of the world-building. Initially, I didn't even notice the connection between the system error messages and the FoT (game) until I read the summary (I dove in without prior knowledge for the first 16 chapters).
For now, I'm giving it three stars based on its potential, my fondness for stories like this, and the fact that it sparked my interest to write this review. I look forward to seeing more as I delve deeper into the story.
