does this book end here?
The novel requires the addition of the "rape survivor becomes lover" tag because the content is highly problematic. The protagonist was drugged and subjected to non-consensual sex by the main character (ML). Despite the clear discomfort expressed by the MC, the narrative later trivializes or excuses the event, with the MC seemingly accepting it willingly. Although it's stated that there was no physical resistance, the fact remains that the MC was raped. Furthermore, the ML explicitly admits to committing the act.
This development is deeply disturbing and feels unnecessary, especially considering the positive aspects of the story up until this point.
This is an amusing and delightful story that I highly recommend. The protagonist is a sharp lawyer who found herself stuck in a remote area after her boss sent her there to assist the underprivileged for two years. Despite attending a second-tier university, she dedicates herself wholeheartedly to helping the community with low-paying cases. The male lead, recently returned to China and newly qualified, is a US-licensed lawyer required to intern with her for three months before assuming his partner position at the firm. Initially rigid, he learns to adapt and rely on her guidance after facing unexpected challenges, like odd incidents and local customs. The story features relatable cases like family disputes, domestic abuse, and neighborhood conflicts, gradually revealing the protagonist's backstory. Expect a journey of growth for both characters as they navigate their roles in the underprivileged community.
Why the f*ck Chinese and Buddha element come into Japanese world. It's ridiculous and stupid
Don’t think so the comments just got disabled for another reason also if they made it that u had to pay to comment that’s just greed and I bet they would lose a lot of readers since this website has a lot of wholesome comments
That is quite a hard profession but good luck my friend.
