It started off promising with a strong first half, but towards the second half, it seemed to resort to the isekai trope without much originality. The excessive sexual content and harem elements were overdone, although there was some redeeming quality in the development of supporting characters like Endou and Miledi during the latter part of the story.

Don't waste your time. The novel started off promising, but after reading around 100 chapters, the author starts to undermine everything. Initially, the protagonist displays intelligence and tries to solve problems through wit rather than brute force. However, as the story progresses, a significant plot twist occurs. Despite the protagonist's efforts in taking care of his childhood friend and even confessing his love, which seemed to be blossoming, an overly simplistic hero makes a series of implausible, suspicious moves to deceive him and separate them. It's frustrating how easily the protagonist accepts this, seemingly abandoning his previously displayed wisdom. It feels like a waste of time invested in the story. I've decided to drop it.
The novel indeed lives up to the negative reviews. Its most glaring flaw lies in character development. None of the characters exhibit depth or consistent traits, oscillating between two extremes, making them one-dimensional. The protagonist's bipolar nature, while understandable given his mental health issues, is still a weak point, especially when applied to every supporting character who also exhibits similar dual personalities, often without logical explanation.
The attempt to explore the complexity of human nature feels forced and lazy, with nearly every character, friend or foe, adopting this contrived duality. Other issues arise from poorly managed power dynamics, excessive Deus Ex Machina plot devices, and illogical political frameworks, which others might elaborate on more thoroughly.
The only redeeming aspect is the mysterious nature of the main character's powers, which could have been intriguing if not for its limited potential. As for the translation, it's being rushed by a single translator whose work is marred by poor spelling and a lack of apostrophes, creating awkward phrases like "theres" and "thst." Despite the译者尽力保持故事流畅 despite the need for editing, I would rate the translation quality at a modest 2/5, acknowledging that it's not the worst I've come across.
This is a top novel ✔️ if you are looking only for yuri maybe isn't for you but if you want read a novel well written with good characters this could be a good option.
BTW It has a lot (much) militar content like Youjo senki.
