I have never wanted to be best friends with a fictional character more than I do right now with Lin Zhaoyang. Let me just say that. The girl is sharp, she's strategic, and she does NOT tolerate nonsense. When she tells her brother 'Your sister holds grudges' with that little eyebrow raise? I literally gasped. She's not just a victim who got her fiancé stolen twice—she's already planning her counterattack. The complaint letter to Nini's workplace? That's next-level thinking. And the way she explains to Lin Xinhua why their father wants to sever ties? She doesn't just say 'they're bad people.' She lays out the entire logic: Nini stole her fiancé, what's to stop Lin Liwu and Lin Liwen from targeting Xinhua's future wife once he becomes a university student? That is some serious protective older sister energy. Meanwhile, Lin Xinhua is over here just trying to process all this information and immediately comes up with the five hundred yuan idea. These two siblings are genuinely the best part of this story. Their bond feels real—she's been carrying secrets to protect him, and when he pushes, she finally tells him everything. The line 'We'll finish packing and move to my place. We have somewhere to live, so we're not afraid of moving' from Lin Zhaoyang to her parents? That's a kid who grew up way too fast but still knows how to make her parents feel loved. Absolute queen.
