Anna is becoming the villain I hoped she will be. Loving this story lore and more ...
John and giovanni are so cute. lol
My love for this book is just too much!!!!
Book needs editing for spelling & grammar and to make sense. It's a good story but is confusing at times with stuff not being clear & plot holes. Also, pregnant women are not supposed to drink, let alone getting drunk. It's hard for a reader to believe a mother is concerned about baby when drunk.
Loved today's chapter. 125
great read
I need to just... process Shen Yu for a moment. Because WOW. The original owner's memories of him are described as 'honey laced with poison' and honestly that is the most accurate description I have ever encountered for a manipulative person. Let me paint the picture the author gives us: he was gentle, refined, exceptionally capable. A senior who admired by many. He protected her for four years when she had no abilities, when she was nothing. And she thought—SHE THOUGHT—he was a rare good man. She was ready to give herself to him wholeheartedly. And what did he do? He traded her to the Research Institute for vaccines and privileges. For POWER. The scene where she's dragged away 'like livestock' and sees him in the crowd—'his features still gentle. But in the eyes that looked at her, there was no emotion—only cold indifference.' That contrast is DEVASTATING. The face of a caring man, the eyes of a stranger. I literally felt sick reading that. And here's the thing that makes him even more disgusting: he wasn't even decisive about it. He had this 'sworn younger sister' who had feelings for him, who constantly entangled herself with him, and he REFUSED to distance himself because of 'consideration for his mother.' So he's not even a man who made a clean choice—he's a man who couldn't be bothered to set boundaries, and that indecisiveness is exactly why the original owner never agreed to his pursuit. She saw it. She just didn't know how toxic it would become. Cheng Lin's assessment of him is brutal and I love her for it: 'Deep down, the one he loved most had always been himself.' That's not just an observation, that's a diagnosis. And the fact that she answers his call now with an indifferent 'Hello'—no emotion, like speaking to a stranger—tells you everything about how far she's come. Meanwhile, Jiang Yi is in a hospital bed in B City, pale and weak, pulling out his own IV needle to get back to her. Two men. Two approaches. One who uses people, one who sacrifices for them.
Great story, interesting twists. And cried at a certain point as the author does not keep all heroes alive and not everyone wants to or can redeem themselves.
Amazing she did a amazing job with this one
Am I the only one who thinks Adonis and Leila should be together and Neil deserves someone who actually loves him? it all went downhill after the bachelor party.
Another amazing story!
I'm at over 90% reading. Come on author. I've seen you have two new stories. Seriously!!! Why not focus on 1 or 2 at most & add new chapters at least every other day. Good novel is NOT cheap & you're not serving your readers. There s/b weekly updates, at least every other day to complete the story.
