I'd rate it a solid 2.5 stars, as I cannot assign half stars. Here's my analysis:
The positives:
1. The writing is decent and maintains a low-key, enjoyable fantasy vibe around the protagonist's journey.
2. It caters to various tastes by incorporating popular tropes, such as being expelled from a hero group, a trashy skill turning powerful, a harem element, and a zero-turn hero.
3. One battle against a Zinogre-like monster, reminiscent of a Monster Hunter fanfiction, adds an exciting twist.
However, there are drawbacks:
1. The harem aspect is excessive, with nearly every female character having a romantic connection with the main character, except for the sister and a few late introductions.
2. Repetitiveness is noticeable, especially with redundant "level up" messages.
3. Inconsistency in world-building: The setting appears to be a mix of modern Japan and a fantastical realm, but characters sport unrealistic hair colors.
The unappealing aspects:
1. The leveling pace is slow, given the age restriction for hunting in the story. A character much younger than the MC levels up much faster, which is confusing.
2. The story lacks direction or a clear goal. While there's some explanation for the dungeons, there's no compelling mystery or villain to drive the narrative.
Overall, the title might not accurately represent the content, and the story could benefit more from a longer format like a light novel or manga.
To begin with, I have to express my disbelief in this story - it's full of cliches like early romance, an overpowered protagonist, arbitrary powers, and the main character behaves like a jerk, trying to show off his wealth after being poor. The narrative revolves around the idea that the MC is invincible, with problems presented as insurmountable but easily overcome within just a few chapters. In essence, it reads like a grand fantasy of wish fulfillment.
Title: "A Gripping Tale of Unwavering Loyalty"
"Starting With 3000 Special Agents' Protection" is a riveting read that hooks you from the very beginning. The high-stakes narrative immerses readers into a world of intense action and unexpected alliances. The protagonist's courage in leading an elite force demonstrates resilience, making it hard to put down. The plot twists keep you on tenterhooks, while the character development adds depth, making you root for their every move. It's a thrilling roller-coaster ride that showcases the power of human determination and camaraderie. A must-read for fans of gripping espionage thrillers.
Light novels? I’ve read dozens. If you like VRMMORPG novels then this is the greatest light novel ever by far.
An incredible read if you can tolerate the absolutely horrible release rates...
Every time I see the plot progress I unconsciously let out long strings of: "Muahahhahahaha."
the boom is good. I like the author. feed our addiction give us more!!

The novel is a great novel.
The plot is well-planned,
The story development is a little slow at the beginning, but it gets better as the story progresses.
The character design is not perfect, but it is written in a well-understood way and tune with the reader's expectations.
The world background is great, too, and the updating stability is also alright.
The writing quality needs some patching here and there, but all in all, it is a great novel.
Keep going, Author.
Not too bad of a story. Too bad the female characters are too stupid! It’s frustrating!
It has me hooked and I excited to see how it all ends
