His skin hung a bit loosely on his face, and part of his lower jaw was completely missing. His ears were pierced, completely uncovered by his short, black hair. The two earrings he was wearing were shaped like termites and colored a nauseating brown. His sudden cough shocked Emma as it ruptured the silence that was hanging around them.
