The start is good. Although I hate Fu Tingzhou due to his bullshit mindset but still expected thinking about the era he was in. As a modern female, I can't accept his views. That's the reality being born as part of nobility, always thinking in political stand point and benefits they could get. I've read a lot of good historical genre, although most are transmigration, they really hit you on the face.The good thing here is there's no rebirth occured but only amnesia, hence used plot still better than rebirth nonsense now that I'm quite tired of.I would say some events are quite detailed and hence often dragged. But since this focusing on Lu Heng's acting as Fu Tingzhou to fool Wang Yanqing, there's a bit of realizations and mistakes here and there during their interactions. How Lu Heng can put on appearances without faltering.I like our little villain Lu Heng, and his tactics and mindset. I've read a lot of novels and there are few who can make me feel awe, and often goosebumps. His abilities of course can't be par on some novels, but since this novel caters to women, his abilities are great for this genre.I'm doubting if the author studied psychology because this is way too detailed and I had some understanding. I can even say I could lie better now, kidding .
The composition of this novel was done carelessly. It's lifeless and was translated poorly. shouldn't writers address from the heart.. A story must be full of emotions specially romance.
Fiery Moon's work is very entertaining, give it a chance and it will grow on you. The novel (at least in my opinion) has slight issues in regards to power scaling, however as you progress pacing will counteract that. Overall Immortal and Martial Dual Cultivation is a fun and unforgettable story.

I read up to chapter 580, so I got a good idea of the series as a whole.
I really like this story, and nowadays it's the only one in the Wuxia (Chinese) style that I follow, because it doesn't follow the common mistakes and clichés that this genre has.
The characters are charismatic and human (they are not perfect) which makes the reading more interesting and unusual for this genre. Even more so as the characters mature over time, especially Wu Jian (Main Character/MC) who at the beginning is a weakling and a coward (but it's natural, he's very young and the younger brother, whoever has a younger brother knows that being beaten is normal, with due proportions), but it matures quickly and logically because things don't just happen out of nowhere, they have a reason to happen.
The MC is not that cliché of a virgin character who doesn't know how to deal with women, here he learn how to deal with women and wants to have a more intimate relationship, like any normal man. His behavior adds more realism to the story and avoids the shonem and wuxia cliché (most of them look like a eunuch lol).
And the women in the history are the highlight... they are all charismatic and mature over time too, each having their strengths and weaknesses, and they are useful for the story. They are not that trophy woman cliché (with no value apart from beauty/status), which only serve to be beautiful and generate conflicts for the MC because of it.
I consider myself a veteran reader (although I still have a lot to read, my Kindle list says so), I've read from Wuxia novels, to Japanese and Korean novels, to more traditional books like A Song of Fire and Ice. In this novel, I consider the writing good and it's easy to read. I don't have trouble keeping pace and even though English is not my mother tongue, I rarely ever find myself having to Google words I don't know (with the exception of distance measurements in Chinese, but now I've memorized it lol).
Of course the story isn't perfect, but even A Song of Fire and Ice has its flaws, nothing is perfect, but I have no doubts in saying that Severing Time and Space is one of my favorite stories right now.
Surprisingly bad... I thought The Almighty Ring would be the worst web novel I would read in 2019, but I was proven very wrong.
I'm not sure how much of the problems with this story can be attributed to the translator and editor versus the author, but there are tons of problems. The writing is downright unreadable at times. It feels like entire paragraphs or even chapters worth of vital information missing. I only tolerated a few chapters before dropping this series, but I was already lost and confused by chapter 2. Details are inconsistent and contradictory.
Where is the narrative? Did the MC even die? Why doesn't he seem remotely bothered or confused by the fact he went back in time? Is this a normal thing? That "betrayal" wasn't even slightly dramatic, leaving me wonder what the big deal was at the end of the first chapter. Everything appears to be action, which is fine for an action fan like me, but there's no description to go along with that action. It's just "Boom! Things happened" and "MC got this bonus."
What little information is given about the MMORPG doesn't make a lick of sense.... Seriously, what is even going on?
I'm not sure this can even be considered to have any story development. The story is technically there but, development? No. The pacing is very fast, but there's no narrative or anticipation. Even though a handful of side characters got introduced quickly, there character-establishing moments are weak, and the characters have no depth. The MC definitely has no depth.
I'm shocked this even got approval for a translation.
Author man, wish you all the best in this rewrite but sincerely I prefer the other storyline. Tips to the other one.
