spoilers!!!!! the books going well. i don’t like that jackson cheated on her and he just gets away with it. she literally does nothing to punish him. it makes her look weak and a pushover. i hope she gets revenge on him for it. can’t wait to read more
great start
Loving this book so far!
totally loving it...hopefully more updates & it will be daily...
I enjoyed this book. But some parts had me zoning out and having to leave and come back later. But I spent over $60 NZD to read this book, and I kind of think it was worth it. Thanks author. I’m wondering what to read next
Great book. Very well written, and not predictable like other werewolf stories can be. Highly recommend!
I love the book so far. I love me some good mafia romance books

I need to talk about the vase scene because THIS is where the stakes became painfully real for me. Sheng Xia, who has spent the entire marriage being obedient and compliant, KICKS a vase that cost several million yuan at auction. And then immediately regrets it. Not because she's sorry she stood up to him — but because she's sorry she broke an expensive thing. That detail broke my heart honestly. Her entire instinct is self-preservation in a marriage where she has zero power. She's not fighting for justice; she's fighting to not get crushed. The external stakes are clear — she owes over two billion yuan. If Gu Cheng'an decides to make her leave with nothing, she's ruined. But the INTERNAL stakes are what really got me. Every time she tries to assert herself, she backs down. She returns the money. She apologizes to Shen Jingze like SHE'S the one who did something wrong. She's trapped in a cycle of defiance and submission that's slowly grinding her down. And Gu Cheng'an? He's playing 4D chess while she's trying to survive checkmate. He knows exactly what he's doing — the orchid demand, the dinner reservation, the bag order. It's all calculated. He's testing her, pushing her buttons, seeing how far he can go before she breaks. The fact that he felt a flicker of fear when she glared at him like that? That's the most interesting part. For the first time, SHE scared HIM. Not physically — but emotionally. She showed him she's capable of something unpredictable. The suspense is killing me because I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Her parents are still taking his money. She's still financially dependent. And Shen Jingze keeps appearing like a ghost from the past. What happens when all these threads pull tight at the same time?
Absolutely the BEST!!!
