Very high-quality webnovel, one of three that i have actually enjoyed. The writing quality for Webnovels has always been a make-or-break deal for me, and Anti-hero does pretty well. There are some grammar issues and areas where it seems like he had difficulty articulating the meaning, but I suffer from these problem as well and get stuck on them, spending half an hour fixing it. It’s a perfectly fine trade-off.The story is good, with actual stakes and several real threats.Most of the characters are quite well-developed, with the only exception, in my opinion, being Aeri. She has no real reason to hate Exile. The relevance of a reward from a single quest isn’t worth everything she continually sacrifices in order to minorly inconvenience Exile. Moreover, Kaleidoscope managed to beat Camelot in Mayhem, but seems to be worse than a guild founded by a single pro and some amateurs. How does a pro team lose to a single pro and a bunch of amateurs?Overall, I’d rate it a four and half stars. If you made some edits and fixed a few issues, its easily of publishable quality.

what would modern/near future chinese novel be without a drop of nationalism/racism? not a chinese novel. usual target for chinese to target are japanese, koreans and sometimes americans, so i guess i have to add author creativity point cause it targets indians. totally no connection with recent india chinese border clash. overall china numbah wan, we honorable, indians use despicable tactics. usual morality bs so mc can justifiably kill antagonists. nationalism notwithstanding just premise of the novel is stupid. author doesnt know how genes work, so he mixed "genes" with usual xianxia cultivation trope of acupuncture holes. you dont clear holes, but you activate "genes" by sending energy to them and they give you special powers. there are major and minor plotholes everywhere so i would recommend reading something else.

The MC here views it as much more, which he also proves later on in the novel (multiple times).Rather than mindless fighting, I like a novel that touches more on the other aspects.Second, and I feel that this is by far the biggest selling point for me. THE MC IS NOT A HOMICIDAL MANIAC! He doesn't go like: "Hey you, you had a lewd face when looking at my wife no. 69, I'll kill your entire family and revive your ancestors to kill them as revenge. Then, I'll extinguish all karma threads tied to you, killing everyone that even remotely knows you!"AND THE BAD GUYS HERE ARE NORMAL!! They don't go around killing people for some stupid reason. They worry about repercussions from going overboard! These people weren't dropped on their heads as a baby like those arrogant mass murderers who will slaughter entire cities because someone looked at them funny. They are actually people that you can like! To me, it's like a breath of fresh air from those madmen in AST or MGA.Yeah, so, a good story is about delivery rather than the idea anyway. Seems to be a very wish fulfillment type novel. I've read up to ch55 MTL and it feels like every single character and scene exists to make the MC look better.On ch52 there's even a scene where the author praises the MC's amazing observation power for guessing that a table he was going towards had three people because he could see two people sitting down and that one chair had a jacket on it.Also, a lot of the time I felt like I was just reading mob characters excitedly go "he's done for now" even when they had no beef with him. Every character not on MC's side is literally out to get him.Author setup a really grand setting ranging over all of space and different civilizations so maybe you could look forward to that tho.
