Firstly, I must express my immense appreciation to the author and translator for their exceptional storytelling and translation skills. Initially, my visit was solely for the steamy content, but to my surprise, this novel exceeded my expectations in numerous ways. The protagonist, Shuangshuang, who finds herself in a world grappling with population decline and reproductive emphasis, undergoes a genuine character development that captivates readers. As she adjusts to a society with values contrasting her own, like monogamy, her journey is both intriguing and inspiring. Her rise to fame in the entertainment industry and her conquests, both professionally and personally, provide a compelling narrative alongside the expected romantic elements.
For those who enjoy smutty stories with a touch of humor, this novel ranks among the best. It rivals or even equals "Returning" in its diverse range of kinks, from vanilla to extreme scenarios. The author truly showcases creativity in this genre, making it a delight for readers with various preferences. If you're an adventurous reader open to exploring new dimensions of erotica, this is definitely a must-read. I wholeheartedly give it five stars.
Katra1212's review delves into many other positive aspects of the novel, and I highly recommend it as well. I hope you will find this book as enjoyable as I have.
I genuinely appreciate both the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML)'s personalities in this novel. Initially, the MC might appear annoying and immature, but upon deeper exploration, his realism resonates. As you progress, you discover a complex layers to his character – he's an independent individual, studying and supporting himself abroad while estranged from his family, which is no small feat at 24 years old. I find myself relating to his struggles as someone in a similar age group, as we navigate self-discovery and purpose.
The ML is a delightful complement to MC. With his own personal growth, he provides a mature balance to MC's emotional responses, demonstrating effective communication skills. The scene where MC discovers ML's search history, revealing his concern for their relationship, showcases their deep connection in a heartwarming way.
What also stands out is their openness about their sexuality, which adds a refreshing authenticity to their relationship dynamics. However, there's a slight shift in tone around chapter 75 when MC steps up to save his father's company, transforming into a more heroic figure momentarily. This departure from the narrative's usual pace only lasts a few chapters and does not detract significantly from the overall experience.
In conclusion, this novel leaves a lasting impression, and I would love to revisit it as if reading it for the first time. It's a gem that continues to resonate long after finishing. ?
The story stands out due to its unique take on transmigration, exploring the psychological impact on the main character (MC). Unlike many other narratives where the MC assimilates swiftly, this one delves into the MC's struggle with guilt and the challenge of adapting to a new life in a borrowed body. The MC's decision to distance themselves from others and cling to the belief that following the novel's plot will lead them back home is a more realistic portrayal of the emotional turmoil.
The story revolves around a 19-year-old high school student who finds themselves in a romantic novel, where they fall in love with the male lead (ML), a gangster. Their relationship develops rapidly, but other intriguing supporting characters and plotlines seem to lose focus, leaving readers wondering if the author abandoned these elements.
It's frustrating that significant revelations don't come until late in the story, around chapter 168, and even then, some events lack explanation. For instance, the kidnapping of the MC remains unresolved, leaving readers questioning the motives behind it and the knowledge held by their friend and sibling.
Initially, the MC is likable, but as the narrative shifts heavily towards their fragile health and the intense, unhealthy relationship with the ML, the story becomes overwhelming after more than 200 chapters. The excessive focus on these aspects eventually becomes too much for the reader to bear.
I want to give this story a chance because it's labeled as 'completed'. But man, Sienna is really annoying. She's supposed to be smart and got all that second chance, yet she threw all that away to the window just because of 'her blind love to ML' for the reason none other than his look. Like, desperate much? Duh. Can you be more superficial? We got a lot of that kind of girls irl, please be a bit unrealistic for fictional purpose and used your head instead of your hormone. Smh. It's soo annoying to read I decided to dropped it. Not my cup of tea. Sorry.
Could anyone recommend me harem works without ntr or Yuri please. Romance works also please.
