Highly recommend this sweet story with so much growth between all the characters. Brilliantly written. I love that it hasn’t been dragged out forever like some stories. I can’t wait to read more from the author.

Let's talk about Ruyue in the novel. Seriously, at first, it made sense because he wanted to make her regret breaking their engagement and show her that he has changed for the better. But it keeps happening over and over again. The early face-slaps were juicy and satisfying, but the later ones? They're just childish and petty. She's already gotten your point, man; let it go!
Also, Wanxi is the best girl, and I have high hopes for Song Xuan. Hehe.

If you prefer stories with action and character growth, rather than a passive observation experience, this might not be your cup of tea. The content lacks excitement, depth, and development. There's no action, minimal character progression, underdeveloped supporting characters, and it all feels extremely formulaic.
A concise summary of the story so far could be: "I'm back!", "Let's eat!", "I'll assist!", "Quack-quack!", "Grr-rough!", "Wow, impressive!". It's astonishing how much time I've wasted reading through these uneventful chapters.

Most people when they say "normal" they don't mean anything bad, it just happens to be that the majority of couples are straight aka the norm. As to why people can't read novels with same s*x couples, it boils down to that people like inserting themselves into story's.
