It was decent; it had its enjoyable moments, but can you believe me when I say it reminds me a lot of Magical Explorer? Let me clarify, I'm not comparing them directly, but if you just give it a read, you'll understand what I mean - the atmosphere, the storytelling, the in-depth explanations, and scattered legendary characters; it's like MagiEx with a Yuri twist.
The main character, being entirely driven by his desires, wouldn't even hesitate to accept anything for the sake of Yuri and related themes. Now, I haven't read beyond Chapter 17 myself, but I assure you, once you hit that point, my point will be clearer.
After reading Rand0md*ck's review, I noticed that some reviewers who gave this story a rating of three stars or lower tend to skim through it, focusing on superficial aspects and criticizing it harshly, comparing it to generic otherworldly novels. However, the strength of this story lies in its unique character development, avoiding clichés. Although it does feature elements like BDSM, a daddy-like character, and a clueless maiden, what sets it apart is the nuanced execution, not rushing these elements.
The protagonist's journey starts with a mysterious death and an acquired ability that shapes the narrative. While this plot might seem familiar, the author handles it differently here, providing a convenient plot device like the protagonist's language acquisition. What I appreciate is the protagonist's reliance on teamwork and psychological acumen, using his wit to navigate the unfamiliar world.
The characters are well-developed and evolve organically throughout the story, not just added for fan service. The main character, Lin, learns from his surroundings and uses his intelligence to his advantage. The romance is portrayed ambiguously but shows progress as the heroine's emotions deepen after Lin reassures her about the end of the war and her desire for a normal life.
The "kinky" aspects, like the yandere character, are explained as a result of the young succubus' traumatic past and her position as the weakest among her siblings. The action scenes are sparse and realistic, reflecting the post-war reality of scarcity and survival.

MC: 7.5/10 (I like his playful personality)
PLOT: 7/10 (it's quite an interesting plot)
WORLD-BUILDING: 7/10 (good enough)
ROMANCE: N/A (up to this point, everyone except the mc, has a partner, so...)
Rating: 7.5/10
COMMENT: A good novel perfect for passing the time. For readers of martial world, LOTM, and Harry Potter, you'll find many common elements, probably because the author was inspired by these works, but that doesn't diminish its value. The MC, as well as all the other characters, are interesting, the plot is good, and the writing is smooth.
There are some chapters that left me a little disappointed, but overall it's a novel worth reading.
Give it a chance, you might like it.
