The ending is definitely abrupt, and there are a couple of times where there are callbacks to characters I straight-up cannot remember. Those two points aside, this was an excellently-written, and very excellently-translated novel. Solid twists. Strong drama without being cliffhanger-y. Chapters are nice and long; I never felt like I was being rushed from point to point. Altogether worth it. I read it in about two weeks.
I skip directly where the latest manhwa. It was not explained that only unnecessary fat that get burned. It only say about body fat. If that was the case, it was probably translator problem

Let's forget that the author either forgets or ignores that the girl is blind for half the story, which really drives me crazy.
The female lead is a weak character who only starts to grow a spine after 70 chapters (out of 122)! The male lead is a sex-obsessed, one-dimensional character. I just feel intense hatred for him. He has no positive traits, other than being rich and good-looking (yay). Her longtime friend (I guess the second male lead) is warm, caring, and loves her deeply. He would be a thousand times better. But since the author had to write a novel about a CEO and a poor girl, we get to read this abomination.
I won't delve into the nonexistent plot or unexpected themes. The issue I have is with the portrayal of the main character, ML. Initially, after reading the first five chapters, I assumed ML was no older than 12 due to his behavior. However, later on, the MC buying him toys and ML's response, "I'm not a kid," came as a surprise. In Chapter 25, Groundhog's mention of events starting 18 years ago indicates ML's true age – 18 years old! This sudden shift surprises me, as it's hard to picture an "adult" being portrayed as so childish.
ML's treatment by M further reinforced my belief that he was young. Initially, M seemed to treat ML with a mix of pity and affection, akin to a pet. But then, it was revealed that they introduced each other as a couple to a group, suggesting M's genuine interest in ML's childlike behavior.
It seems my aversion to "innocent" characters, even if not children, played a role in my perception. Perhaps the "romance" aspect of the story could have been toned down, and it would have更适合 as a parenting tale without the perceived immaturity. The lack of a clear "seme" protagonist tag might also contribute to this disconnect.
In summary, I believe the author should have reconsidered the romance element and focused more on the parenting dynamic between ML and M.
This is actually quite enjoyable, akin to a manga titled "Movies are Real, but with a stronger comedic and heartwarming vibe. The misunderstandings add humor, and the main character is relatable and likable. The only downside is the female lead (FL) in the finale. Initially, she was likable, but her reaction towards the climax soured my opinion dramatically.
In a spoiler alert, after the MC reveals his true identity, she dismisses his explanation with a snarky comment, "Oh, he's just acting." As his girlfriend, she fails to give him the chance to be heard. Despite his previous attempts, she trivializes his story. It's disheartening how he spent so many years pretending to be cold and emotionless, with only a few close ones understanding his true self. It's unfortunate that such a promising work ends on a disappointing note.
A word of advice: Stop reading at chapter 475. It's better to leave the rest open to your imagination, as自制结局往往更美好。
