Reading through horrifying tales, I attempt to empathize with the innocent main character (MC) because I can relate to their vulnerability. Fear would drive anyone to overlook potential dangers, so I can't fault her. However, I must admit, the MC's lack of charisma is striking. Despite being 35 chapters in, she still fails to captivate me. Her naivete starts to grate, and I can't help but feel disappointed.
While I do comprehend her decision not to reveal her true identity as the antagonist, given the realistic context where it could lead to betrayal and possible harm, her obliviousness has not been overly unrealistic. Yet, the repetitive nature of the narrative becomes tiresome. The story revolves around an escape from a horror-themed situation, which is commendable. Surprisingly, amidst all this, the MC is fixated on romance, which adds an unexpected twist.
So far, it's quite engaging, and you'll find even greater enjoyment when listening to it on YouTube. Search for "Grand Duke Tyron" and their channel offers excellent audio. They're actually ahead of Reaper Scan in terms of translation speed. This novel is truly one of my all-time favorites; I've listened to it multiple times.

I’d enjoy this a lot more if the love interest wasn’t some old creeper gunning for a literal teenager. Just make it about some weird teens being obsessive about each other and go, why make it pedophilia? That would be so much less nasty. Or just make the MC not a teenager??
