I read almost the whole story (200 chapters) when it was free the other day. At first I didn’t like it but kept at it because it was free and somewhat interesting premise. Things get better in later chapters or maybe I only got used to the fact that something will happen to threaten the colony every so often and they are going to get lucky and/or work hard and make tough decisions to make it through. Probably the characters are the best part because of their flaws.
Too much misogeny, the author consistenly applies pseudoscience throw the novel to undermine woman and to lazily explain the happenings in the story. Most importantly, either because of the author nationalism or because of his fear of being censored, the main character, who is usually cautious of other people and organizations in game(which is sensible and expected), opens up completely to his own goverment, helping them and giving them things he spent years of his life developing, with almost no return, and, most surprisingly, no one and nothing ever goes wrong when the goverment is involved, not even a single person in a cascade of autority ever gets greedy for his power(which is one the most ironic dicotomies i've ever seen considering all the bretrayal and greednies that happen in game compared to the dream wolrd of the government discribed by the author).
Writing a review because I need all the cultivation resources I can get in preparation for my upcoming breakthrough. I'll be beginning the process of condensing the Qi in my dantian so wish me luck fellow daoists.
A good story, but as usual from chapter 41 onwards the translation became unedited.
The story looked like it copied the direction of a movie from thrusting us between the story. The characters are not interesting and there is emotional hold on the readers. Same old cliche story.

I was actually enjoying it some what before I saw him stay in the trash school just because of a ‘fiancé’ that left him to drown in the logistics department by himself. Like *****, call that marriage off at the very least!He acknowledged that he didn’t have any feelings towards that school in the previous chapter but then changed his mind when he saw the ‘aura’ of the Fiancé. The aura of a bumbass, stinky ass 3-star teacher working in a sinking ship.Glory my ass. Leave that *****! Her dumb ass knew he was facing trouble but didn’t do anything and then she had the audacity to try to keep him in the school. She didn’t even know that he was good at all! She just didn’t want to give him away! She hadn’t seen him in years and was surprised on how he looked.I’m starting to dislike beautiful women in these types of novels. Like there was no good reason in why he stayed. ‘I want to prove to everyone that I’m not someone who needs a woman’. Like *****, go to another school and dominate that **** and show that you were under pressure or something and that’s why you couldn’t be a grand teacher.Like **** that school. Fuck the Fiancé. And Fuck the grandpa that was the headmaster Of that school. Fuck! Fuck them all!Dumbass female!Fuck! I’m sexist now! LOOK WHAT YOU TURNED ME INTO!
I have been thinking about Madam Wang a lot after reading these chapters, and honestly, she is one of the most chilling maternal figures I have encountered in fiction. Let me explain. On the surface, she is a devoted mother. When Yan Jingzheng decides to kneel in the ancestral hall, she immediately volunteers to take the blame: "After all, this was my idea. It was me—I favored my own son and wanted to be a wicked stepmother." This sounds selfless, right? Wrong. Because the moment Yan Jingzheng points out that the Old Master would not believe it, she pivots instantly to making sure her son goes through with it. She even sends her pregnant daughter-in-law to kneel alongside him, completely disregarding the risk to the unborn child. "Husband and wife are one—when one prospers, both prosper; when one suffers, both suffer." This line is delivered so casually, but it reveals everything. Madam Wang does not see her daughter-in-law as a person. She sees her as an extension of her son. If the son needs a prop to make his performance convincing, the daughter-in-law will serve that purpose, pregnancy or not. And the Old Marquis? He is caught in the most painful position. The text says: "Both were his own flesh and blood. No matter how despicable or inhuman his second son was, he was still his own child." This is the tragedy of a father who raised one son poorly and cannot bring himself to completely abandon him, even as that son's actions threaten the entire family. His silence speaks volumes. Then there is Swallow Holding Branch, who sees all of this with terrifying clarity. She is three years old and understands family dynamics better than most adults in the story. Her relationship with Madam Bai is genuinely touching—when she runs all the way to warn her mother, Madam Bai kisses her repeatedly instead of scolding her. That moment of maternal warmth in the middle of all this scheming is what makes this story breathe.
Review at chapter 125Its alright, the Mc mostly just gives up trying to use the emulator himself and finds “tools” to give him rewards. He Is given some different varieties with different value as rewards but usually (most of the time) he would choose to upgrade his cultivation. In this world cultivating is extremely hard and takes a long time. So the old monsters a suppose to be actual monsters in terms of power. Fighting the next level with a lower grade is rather difficult and the Mc can barely do it. It’s not even to the point where it’s an entire real just 1 level or so. Overall, you watch the story through the eyes of his tools as they make different simulations with different templates, similar to the novel “Fantasy Simulator”. Not going to lie it can get frustrating in where the Mc doesn’t really do much in using his other skills but to be fair only just a couple of days has passed since the start and the story up to this point (chpt 125) does foreshadow major things are about to go down both in the ”real world” and the simulated world. Give it a try ??u200d♂️

The story has a incoherent and diverging story line. The plot started out pretty good. The mc started with a good base but diverged from the starting point. After being betrayed by his ex girlfriend, he’s disgusted with ppl that are only looking for rich boyfriend. He finally finds a girlfriend that’s nice and loyal. But then why does it seem like he’s on the verge of falling for any pretty girl he sees. And how many times do you need to pretend to be another girl’s boyfriend even tho you are in a relationship. And why are you hang around the girl that you know is trying to break you guys up. Just cause you can’t say no and can’t be bother to pay attention? Is that suppose to be a cool rich guy response? Then you feel guilty for getting kissed by another girl by surprise? But you liked the kissed but felt guilt for your girlfriend. Then felt guily for sharing a plate with another girl when your girlfriend isn’t around. Just a doormat guy pretending to loyal and nice. The world background is convoluted. Everyone is chasing rich ppl and looking down on the poor. Herd mentality. Not very many likable character. I dropped it after he found out his girlfriend was schemed against and missing and he’s was drunk at the time. Then he let the girl who caused it all go just cause she tricked him into believing he slept with her.
