......... I love this book so far!
Hey my lovely readers! I will start regular updates on this book next month. Please stay tuned...
The book is so nice, keep up the good work. Can’t wait for the next update.
This piece is guaranteed to have you in stitches! While the plot is undeniably amusing and a delightful read, I must admit that the writing style isn't quite my cup of tea. The supporting characters, in my view, lack depth and development. Nevertheless, considering its brief and humorous nature, the story achieved what it set out to do – provide a good laugh.
Firstly, regarding the review by "7starkiller," I initially dismissed it without much concern. However, upon checking their profile, I noticed an alarming pattern of consistently leaving negative comments with one-star ratings. If not for this review, I wouldn't have stumbled upon this excellent novel. I am genuinely frustrated!
The reviewer claims that the book is slow-paced, but personally, I found it engaging and surprisingly captivating despite dropping other novels recently. The novel, which has a slice of life tag, didn't give me the rollercoaster ride they described.
As for the main characters, Han Cheng (ML) and Su Xiaoxiao (FL), the reviewer's depiction of their relationship is off-putting. It seems they might have a bias against romance novels or are exaggerating their opinions. The story revolves around a military doctor, Han Cheng, who lost his wife and decides to find a new wife to raise his children due to the circumstances.
The character Su Xiaoxiao isn't portrayed as a gold digger, as the term implies. She seeks a partnership with Han Cheng because he is a suitable match, and she promises to contribute by teaching and caring for his children, essentially becoming their mother figure. It's reasonable for her to desire a good life for herself and the kids.
In summary, if you're looking for fast-paced action, this might not be your cup of tea. But if you enjoy transmigration stories set in a 70s military context with a slice of life touch, this book is definitely worth a read. And trust me, the author has more gems to offer – their other works are exceptional too.
wait does novel pub have a discord? alos ngl i rly like the notification system very nice and easy to use
Did the author abandoned the story? It's been 9months.
I'm surprised there are barely any comments. Though the story isn't incredibly amazing, it is a cultivation novel that sort of twists the common tropes. Also, the MC has a unique ability to turn back time by 10 minutes each day(this is revealed about 5 or so chapters in so I won't count it as a spoiler). As of the start of volume 5, most of the story takes place inside this cultivation academy. But it's not the normal cultivation academy/sect where the MC is taught one thing and then the teachers are practically nonexistent until the MC offends enough people to be kicked out. He actually constantly spends time with the teachers and learns from them on multiple occasions which is a plus since I really like novels where the MC is in a school and learning from other people instead of the MC constantly getting lucky and blindly rushing through his cultivation and combat techniques and yet getting all the best techniques and materials to cultivate.
I suggest The Charm of Soul Pets
