Most novels would spend three chapters on the death and rebirth mechanics. This one treats it like 'okay, she's back, let's go.' Chapter 2 is where the structure really shines. It's structured as a ghost's retrospective—ten years of wandering, learning, observing. But it's not just filler; it's worldbuilding disguised as memoir. Every paragraph serves double duty: we learn about the manor's power structure, the second branch's crimes, and Swallow Holding Branch's own inadequacies all at once. The pacing here is deliberate, almost meditative, which makes the ending hit even harder. And that ending—she overhears a concubine revealing the truth to her daughter, and Swallow Holding Branch is standing right there. The reveal comes through a secondhand conversation, which is such a clever structural choice. It's not someone telling her directly; it's her stumbling onto the truth the same way she stumbled onto everything else as a ghost. And then Chapter 3 starts with her 'entire soul trembling with overwhelming hatred' and charging toward the main hall. The transition from passive observer to active avenger happens in a single chapter break. No hesitation. No 'let me think about this.' She's done thinking. She's done grieving. She's done being naive. The author knows exactly when to accelerate and when to let the reader breathe. Chapter 2 is the breath. Everything else is a sprint.

Good story with a good plot and potential to be something great. The things that took away from this was the constant repetition of information from different viewpoints and the names that go mixed up quite a bit. But all in all, good story and well done, dear author.
