it could be a good story if the main character was not acting like a monkey all the time, he is pushing around and just when you think he is going to be a man he does everything his wife's family tells him for what? to be treated like a liar, a cheater and fool just so his wife might love him for 5 sentence and then be a bit*h to him again and again it's boring and stupid.

Daily Life of the Immortal King is a unique and engaging novel in several respects. While set in a world where technology and cultivation work hand-in-hand, its modern-day setting is something that readers can relate to. At the same time, it’s replete with popular culture references and memes and buzzwords that are like Easter Eggs to delight anyone who recognizes them. But the more you read, the more you’ll realise how the novel stands on its merits. It starts off as a slice-of-life that evolves into a quick-paced plot as more and more characters are introduced and the protagonist becomes unwittingly and reluctantly drawn in.Also, by now you can probably tell that this novel is just ridiculously funny. You will giggle at some of the in-jokes, and laugh out loud at some of the absurd plot twists. It touches on familiar, popular trends like live-streaming and online gaming, and use them to amusing effect in this novel.The super MC himself is hilarious in how he tries to live a low-key life and keep his powers under wra**. But circumstances and other characters conspire against him. And the cast of characters are a real mixed bunch; from the MC’s long-suffering parents to Great Death-Courting Senior and his sense of justice to Odd Zhuo and his ineffable luck, there is always something to love (or love to hate!) about the characters. Also given how more and more characters start to show up, the translators have decided to stick with name translations that will be easier to remember and which in most cases reflect the characters’ personalities themselves.

I have never read a more unlikable MC. If you want to read a story about an MC that is basically a villain that cares only for power while sacrificing, letting die, or outright killing any person he has a good relationship with, this book is for you. I give credit to the interesting world the author built and the complexity in which the MC developed; however after reading 550+ chapters of a sociopath killing indiscriminately to get stronger, that was enough for me. I would've been more okay with the MC having a few close friends that were also sociopaths getting stronger together. At least there would have been relationships to enjoy. Humans are social creatures and I find it hard to believe or relate to that a person could be so able to cut themselves off from everyone. I regret not reading the lower rated reviews before paying for so many chapters. Read at your own risk!
The writing quality of this book frightens me. I know English isn't the author's first language, but it's as bad as google translate for the 33 chapters that I've read. This book seriously needs an editor. Any editor that's well-versed in English and above the mental age of 14 will change this book for the better... or at least make it less excruciating to read.The story is quite a cliche, but I like the genre. I've only read a bit, so I can't say much, but it's pretty generic and monotone for a start. I can't see much character design. MC's backstory is very overused, and side characters only stay to the side. World background is at least interesting. It's always the world background bringing up the entire genre. Likewise, I only read this novel to immerse myself in the genre. And I only write reviews when novels are either extremely good or downright bad. I hope the author makes the plot exciting and hires an editor so I can continue to read and give it a chance once more. I'm forced to stop reading at 33 chapters in.

Can we talk about how good the dialogue is in this chapter? Because I literally laughed out loud and then immediately felt bad for laughing. Jiang Feng's dialogue is absolutely unhinged and I love it. 'Mr. Shi, you're so bad.' 'I've admired Mr. Shi for a long time. You have a natural aura of a king that makes me want to submit to you.' This man is out here doing FULL seduction routines in a hallway while wearing a V-neck pink sweater. And Shi Jinnian's response? 'Have some self-respect.' Just three words. That's it. That's the entire response. I couldn't breathe. Then there's Jiang Mian's dialogue, which is this beautiful contrast. Everything comes out in fragments — 'Young master, you... you don't like... brother... right?' 'Jiang Mian's hands... hands are not... not dirty... didn't touch good friends.' This kid has been isolated for nineteen years and it shows in how he speaks. But there's something incredibly endearing about it too. And the narrative voice — oh my god, the narrative voice. It switches between Shi Jinnian's cold, calculating perspective and this almost omniscient narrator who seems to find Jiang Mian's innocence both amusing and precious. Lines like 'Beautiful, yet easy to deceive' and 'The boy looked down at his now clean hands' carry this weight that goes beyond just describing what's happening. The humor in this chapter is also remarkable. Jiang Feng's complete misreading of every situation, Uncle Zhang's internal panic about whether they'll 'do it in the hallway,' Jiang Mian's two conclusions about the whole thing — it's comedy gold. But it's comedy that makes you feel bad for everyone involved, especially Jiang Mian, who has no idea what's actually happening.
