Although Grandpa J had not told Brian to do it, nonetheless, Brian felt it wouldn't be good if he just followed directions and started to change some things which he decided could help him in a fight. Grandpa J would go outside and give Brian pointers on how to hold the wood sword and would fix Brian's posture so as to make the practice harder or fix small habits Brian had. Soon enough, Brian had a stance with little movement waste that flowed smoothly. Grandpa J had occasionally increased the weight of the sword using strange marks or symbols that started to look cool, once all signals were connected looked similar to an array.
