Knock! I was interrupted when I heard some knock on the door and opened it. I saw mom and dad entering the room with a smiling face. "How do you feel about your new home sweetie? Do you anything? Is there anything wrong?" I was barraged with questions by mom so I replied to her immediately.

I keep thinking about the storage space in this story and what it really represents. It's not just a convenient plot device for carrying goods—it's Jiang Wan's secret independence. While everyone else is struggling with physical limitations, carrying heavy luggage, worrying about where to store things, she just... stores it. When she arrives in Guangzhou and 'deliberately stored all of her luggage inside her storage space, traveling with only a light load,' that's not just practical, that's symbolic of how she moves through the world differently now. She's untethered. The trains themselves are another big symbol here. Jiang Wan takes one train to get away from her old life, another to Guangzhou to build something new, and then back again. Each journey is a transition. The station scenes are always pivotal—meetings, farewells, new conflicts. And that ending at Haicheng station with the fashionable Jiang Wan standing out among the crowd, planning to sell her goods, when suddenly an old lady gets bumped... it's like the world keeps throwing obstacles at her but she's already armored herself. The contrast between her outward confidence (sunglasses, hat, canvas bag from Shanghai) and the inner turmoil she felt crying on the train shows how complex her character is. She's building a new identity while carrying old wounds.
