*heavy confusion intensifies*
A captivating gender-bending tale where the protagonist remains composed about their identity doesn't let their gender confusion dominate the narrative. Initially, the MC's position as the "Right Diagonal Back Seat" of the heroine might intrigue, but it becomes less significant as the story progresses, mainly serving as a backdrop for character interactions. The concise title initially feels refreshing, but it may not fully convey the depth of the story, potentially giving readers a misleading impression.
The synopsis suggests a light-hearted tale of the MC assisting the heroine, but the tone shifts darker as the world and its stakes are explored, revealing the emotional rollercoaster the protagonist undergoes. Although the story offers diverse perspectives, character development could benefit from a more substantial portrayal of supporting characters beyond their fictional nature.
The gender-bending aspect mainly revolves around preventing romantic entanglements and creating an intriguing dynamic between the male protagonist and the transformed MC, who is unaware or uninterested in relationships. This unique setup offers potential for character growth, although the romantic arc remains ambiguous. Unlike many other gender-bender stories, there are no cringe-worthy scenes involving trivialities like bathroom habits or clothing choices; instead, the MC's reluctance to bathe with other females is a subtle touch.
Overall, this novel stands out as a well-written gem that effectively explores its theme. If you're looking for a gender-bending story that avoids clichés and focuses on character development, I highly recommend giving it a try.
I recently came across this on another device, and I concur with ayadsinung's viewpoint that the primary couple isn't particularly appealing. The storyline is indeed unique, and the strategic aspects are commendable, which somewhat compensate for its flaws. However, personally, the main characters are my least favorite. The protagonist, despite being intelligent, often behaves like a child throwing tantrums. As for the male lead, his actions towards the original character – both physically and emotionally abusive – are distressing, in my opinion. Although I do enjoy reading stories in the r*pe genre, it doesn't mean I find it acceptable when it detracts from an otherwise captivating narrative. The main characters' negative impact can overshadow the brilliance of the plot, causing it to lose its charm.
if u mean completed, how many more chapters do u think it will have??
Update author pls
The book struggles a bit with some generic characters, which makes the depth of the story a bit empty, although with some solid world-building.
