Rain: "not happening!"
" You look Very Beautiful in a video, so good in it."-He said with a sinister smirk making me uncomfortable then I looked around. I realized no one was there.
"Well," Mama Hollie called, "you know where to find me when the mood takes you."
Okay so this whole sequence is basically a masterclass in how to dismantle a tyrant without throwing a single punch. Lin Wan sees the oil jar hidden away—hoarded by the Old Madam for special occasions while everyone else boils vegetables in salted water—and she just... takes it. Three ladles. Not a drop for herself, mind you. She cooks for the whole family. The genius of this plot move is in the escalation. First, the scent drifts through the alley. Then Lu Zhengze's innocent question—"Has Mother finally come to her senses?"—which is basically the narrative telling us something is off. Old Man Lu's suspicion immediately follows. The author is layering tension so naturally you don't even notice you're holding your breath. Then comes the Old Madam's theatrical wail. The viper metaphor! "I raised a viper in my own home!" This is the moment where the plot could go either way—Lin Wan gets punished or exposed. But instead, she plays the victim so perfectly that even the father-in-law can't bring himself to scold her. She's been cutting grass with a head injury and still managed dinner. How do you punish that? The real twist though is when she reveals Lu Zhengting's bruises and Lu Mingliang's back. Suddenly the power dynamic flips completely. The Old Madam wanted to use the children's testimony against Lin Wan, but the children's testimony actually saves her. Little Lu Mingliang just drops the truth like it's nothing—"Grandma just rolled around on the kang"—and it dismantles the entire accusation. And then Lin Wan's explanation about the oil being for health, not greed? That's the checkmate. She frames everything around the men's strength and the family's survival. No one can accuse a woman who's doing this out of love for her family. The plot resolution here is so satisfying because it's earned—Lin Wan outsmarted everyone by being smarter, not louder.
"My desire?" I asked him. I don't even know what that is.
The women who asked as she was living with the man all alone in night shut her mouth and moved to next seat with a fierce face .
Lily was hopeful, after all, the Master had saved Ran's, her life; there was no need to keep her confined.
"Hehe" Nami giggled "no."
Lucy said while pouting.
