Templates may seem overused, but that's because they've proven effective. The story follows a familiar pattern: our protagonist, a loner (not a shut-in), encounters 'Truck-kun' on their way home from university, gets whisked away to become an orphan in a gritty world with a magical knack. They attend a prestigious academy reserved for nobles' children and elite merchants, where clichéd events unfold, leading to a global escape and a journey.
Throughout their adventures, countless cliches abound, eventually bringing in a group of clueless Japanese heroes. That's the summary up to where I've read. Initially, the translation and editing aren't up to par, but around chapter 20-30, the quality takes a nosedive, hinting at a translator's struggle with the language, similar to many readers on this platform who might not be native speakers.
Despite the rough patches, I commend the translator for their efforts, as translating accurately is no easy feat, especially for someone without prior knowledge of English. There's a significant improvement in translation quality between chapters 90-100, followed by a remarkable leap around chapters 110-113, where grammar and punctuation start to adhere to English norms. However, I eventually decided to discontinue reading due to the lingering influence of the earlier inconsistencies, even though I genuinely enjoyed the story.
In conclusion, while the story itself is decent, the translation and editing process had its ups and downs, but kudos to the translator for their perseverance.
The concept holds promise, and from what we have seen so far, it appears to offer a distinctive take on the common theme of being reincarnated into a novel. Unfortunately, the translator has discontinued the series, so I'm hopeful that another individual will pick it up and continue the story.
His other novel was a short story, maybe a try at writting. And SS is his first long story, already quite good. While Reverend insanity was Gu zhen ren's sixth novel, and the best yet. Yup, g3 is definitely not as skilled as Gu Zhen and experienced, is that what you meant?

lol i have been reading the comments on here the past couple months and it cracks me up. Everyone is talking about how the novel went down hill because of *nc*st, or there is more sm*t scenes, and i am just sitting here thinking that the novel was good then and good now. I mean the *nc*st thing is fine tbh the author explains reasons for it and anna is a good character. The sm*t scenes honestly its a novel about vampires how can it not get sexual. i mean from the first 5 chapters violet and victor were about to get it on like 4 times. The novel in my opinion did not get worse just added some more tags. As for the more harem members all the girls have a fleshed out back story or were just introduced..ie Velnorah, Amaterasu and Gaia. The last thing i seen were the talk about someone donating money to the author or something but i mean wasn't it just adding something to the novel that doesn't affect the story line?? wow more s*x scenes, how about grow up and stop reading Dr. Seuss

Despite an initial misunderstanding and the ML's tragic background, there's surprisingly little angst throughout the story. The MC and ML's deep affection for each other, combined with their formidable abilities, keeps the tension light. The dynamic between them is captivating - the MC, a beacon of purity, shines brightly in the ML's world, which was filled with danger. After witnessing the ML's tender care and resilience, the MC's love for him grows stronger. The supporting cast is largely positive, even the mischievous children from the next generation eventually warm up to the MC's charming nature.
