I read "Banished to Another World" because it involves time travel and shares similarities with another novel I enjoy. Both are adventure stories with superpowers. I know I’m late to the game; I only started reading it a week ago, but I’m hooked! Thankfully, there are four people who are consistently translating this novel. I really hope they don’t drop it. I have no plans to read the raw version.
I would give it 3 stars. One reason is that it has quite gruesome and bloody scenes, and another is that the fighting isn’t described in much detail. The story mostly revolves around a girl who time travels, is a doctor, and becomes a hero. Each chapter is relatively short. The translators do an excellent job, making the grammar easy to understand.
I used to love anime as a kid but grew out of it because I felt it was more for children. However, this Chinese novel, along with others, is incredibly addictive to read. I enjoy reading Chinese novels because they delve deep into characters' thoughts and feature more dialogue compared to manga.
The narrative has been rather formulaic and predictable thus far. The protagonist exhibits near-omnipotence, despite some minor drawbacks post-transmigration, such as inheriting the vocal cords issue of the possessed individual. This limits character development and growth. Interactions between characters adhere to stereotypes, while antagonists remain one-dimensional. The possessed person's backstory feels underdeveloped, almost like a placeholder for convenient plot revelations later on.
There's a sense of inevitability in the protagonist's success, as she never truly faces defeat within any given arc. Although there are occasional intriguing moments, they are often resolved too quickly, lacking depth. Some plot points feel forced rather than organically advancing the story.
Additionally, at chapter 70, the formation of the girl group has yet to occur, indicating that the main storyline has not truly begun. As a result, the pacing and storytelling progression are sluggish. Lastly, the translation of "Fenrir" suffers from editing inconsistencies, with frequent errors within paragraphs and typical machine translation issues with character names, making it challenging to follow at times.

Yeah, I thought that would be the ending. Using the time laws to reverse the cataclysm and then freeze the universe in place like that.
The only racism is from characters specifically said to be racist. And they never say China is number 1. China has a lead due to that being where seer started the game. Plus later we see that they have a slight edge in genes but it's not so massive that it matters.The only people who are shown to be superior is anyone who has been trained in the "game". Since the alien civilization has had billions of years to develop vastly superior tech and cultivation material compared to anything on earth.Plus every country we see shows patriotism. We even see why they show so much patriotism since most of the people who are showing it are military people or politicians.The players show "patriotism" in that they like to say their country is the best but that's also done in games and is just being reflected here. Most of the players don't actually care about their country and just care about the game. They just mess with other country's players for fun.
Just have a brief read but this story were just too suffocating for me, the typical weak FL that being saved by rich ML. The way every little thing get prolonged just to get the story longer is also a big no for me.
