This book was just beautiful, different than what I usually read and I throughly enjoyed it! The writing poetic and the story just warms your heart!!! I didn't want it to end!!...maybe a sequel/2nd book, one can only wish! Thank you author, now to find more of your books!!!
I am quitting the story author coz all I wanted was Matt and Sussane story and not some Hera will come and take Matt away, Regret asking you wtite the story of Matt may be Sussane would have been paired with Matt, anyways you will write a good story but for me Matt-Sus are the best.

Right after, she felt something damp soak through the fabric of her dress." I literally laughed out loud. This is the most human moment in the entire chapter. Not some grand dramatic revelation, not a life-threatening danger—just a period showing up at the worst possible time. And the fact that she stains HIS trousers? That's the cherry on top. She's mortified because she knows he's particular about cleanliness. "He showered morning and night, and his clothes were always spotless, without a speck of dust." But here's the thing that makes this scene work instead of just being crude comedy: the stakes are real underneath the humor. Wen Zhiyu's irregular cycle has been plaguing her for years. She's tried medication, it didn't help, she just learned to live with it. And now Pei Yan is like "Tomorrow, come with me back to the family home. Let Mother take a look at you." His mother is a renowned OB/GYN who only sees patients half a day a week and wealthy families book weeks in advance. The stakes shift from "will they or won't they" to "what if she can't have children?" which is SO much more interesting. Pei Yan even says it directly: "After all, they both planned to have children someday. What if these small issues flared up during pregnancy and caused lasting damage?" The tension isn't just romantic anymore. It's existential. And the author wraps it in such a casual, almost comedic package that you don't even notice the weight until it hits you.

These next chapters were hard to read. John starving Sherry, her resorting to eating grass while he makes fun of her. I'm so disgusted! Hoping Sherry will hate him forever after this & hoping he doesn't start raping her. I was hoping he wouldn't visit her as that's what he likes to do rape her.
