Great fantasy story full of mages and magic using beings. The Author does a fantastic job of combining a fairly complex magic system with a pretty simple concept of power levels. The Author uses this to write battles with realistic (in terms of the world) twists and out comes. When the MC and an antagonist come to blows and their of “equal strength” the MC does win just because of some “MC plot-armor bullsh*t” it’s because the Author laid down the groundwork for why he learned and obtained the skills and abilities to pull through. Even when someone does manage to seemingly pull some solution out of their a*s it’s because the Author left the information and reasonings behind in primitive chapters that were (mostly on purpose) meant to be overlooked as unimportant.
Characters and character development is always one of the most important things to look at for in any story. In this both aspects are pretty straightforward. The MC has a lot of dark sh*t happen to him in the prologue & start of the series and that leaves us with a very untrusting and paranoid protagonist who is also severely protective of those who are are close to him. The main theme of the story is that the MC is going about his life while gaining strength in various ways in order be able to protect those he cares about and fulfill a few spoiler related goals while his interactions with those around both help and hinder him from slowly opening up to others. The Author does a good job of providing scenarios that that the MC has to contemplate while balancing his law of the jungle and his moral/human side in order to survive both physically and mentally.
This series is not a “black & white” story by any means and would recommend it to any high fantasy loving reader.

Kinda disappointing. Mc is a beta and underwhelming, story is plain confusing. Feel no enjoyment from this . Shame

Right at the first chapters of this ****show you can notice what most living beings dread... EXTREME PLOT ARMOR.
The mc is just an asshole to the king and can just escape the palace without any repercussion, right after that he is forced by a drunk guild leader to enter his guild... guess what?! He just bows down, because he is a strong and independent (e d g y) Mc that won't be a slave to those damned kings! Even if the way that he does that is by plot armor and is ultimately meaningless! Yeah! You go Main character!
I’m not sure I’m being generous with the ratings but based on what I’ve read it’s a well deserved one.
While the concept of the story itself is not unique but the execution itself is noteworthy. Unlike most story of this genre where the MC got reincarnated back to the beginning of the game with their in game knowledge to exploit, the Mc here actually have to take a setback by having to start over albeit with a sassy and op system and a new hidden class.
While a lot of readers might be put off by the mc’s lack of op-ness I can totally feel the potential in his development in the future.
The world building is decent but it definitely needs a hit more lore to spice it up since at the moment the npc seems to be more of a backdrop rather than crucial figures in the game.
This book keeps getting better and better I can’t stop reading it so please keep writing this book and please write the next chapters soon so I’ll be able to read it thank you
